This Years Messages

              I believe that some of the strongest messages that I have ever preached have been in 2009.  When I read from the prophecies of prophets like Jeremiah, I can relate to the way they felt in their own time. Jeremiah had a tough assignment; to warn a backsliding nation of what was coming if they did not turn to God.  At times the religious leaders in Jerusalem turned against him and one priest even threatened him, if he did not quit with his negative messages.  Jeremiah wanted to be silent, but it was like a "fire shut up in his bone."

                Few people may ever know what it is like to receive an inspiration or illumination from the Lord and have to preach it, knowing that the message will cause heartache for you, a decline in finances and turn off more people than it helps. However I remember the vision I received in 1988 where the man standing near the television tower instructed me to "preach what the Lord gives you," and the Lord promised to open the doors and provide for the ministry.  He has done so.

                As we produce the messages in DVD, CD and book form, so more people can hear them, I hope you will avail yourself of purchasing them and thus helping us continue this great work.

Question "Why do you sell Resource Materials?"

                I was talking to my son Jonathan the other day and I related how I wish I did not have to offer resource material in the VOE, on television or in the meetings. I am asked occasionally, why do I "sell the Gospel" when the Bible says it is free.

                You must understand that we are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, but I am not a church.  A local church can ask for tithes from its members and we cannot. Thus offerings are the manner in which we operate. We do not send out letters asking for offerings. Thus, how can we expand the messages on the internet (that cost money) television (over 3 million dollars a year), traveling to conferences (travel costs), printing a magazine (40 thousands dollars bi-monthly), and pay for postage to send material (about $300,000 a year), if we do not make the resource material available?

                The second point is no one at any time is forced to support the ministry. On television you can order the offer, or not. In a local church you can attend the entire meeting and never give in the offering, and neither do you "have to" order any DVD, CD or tape.  It is all free will.

                I am however, very grateful to the thousands of partner's that have linked their faith and heart with us and help maintain a support base each month.  While the partner base is small and the income only cover about 8% of what is needed, we appreciate the support and prayers of each person and will always be grateful for your kindness.

Preparing Messages for Israel

                I am working on 30 new messages for Israel!  This is a very mentally tiring process. Some may think I just sit down and begin to write what comes to me, or it just pours from my hands as fast as I can type. Often, I will work hours or an entire day in researching one message that will be taught for 22 minutes. It is not just the content of the accuracy in history, names, dates and the word studies from both Testaments.

                I am asking each of you to join with me and pray for great success and blessing on the Israel trip.  We always ask you to pray for good weather and our taping will go smooth.  We enjoy this time with so many wonderful people from across the nation.  Lord willing, you will see the programs on the Manna-fest telecast in 2010.  We are hoping to tape in several new areas.

The Olive Tree        

                Please click on the main page and view the Olive Tree Project. I am very thrilled about this unique opportunity and the fact that from this grove in Israel, a special anointing oil will be formulated. What makes this unique is the grove is in the Galilee, where Christ centered his ministry, and a Messianic Jewish rabbi is directing the project.  You can adopt a tree (or several trees) from the grove and be a part of this end time project.

Working on the Bible

                As you may know we have arranged a meeting with a group of individuals that are going to work with us on a Bible project.  I am hoping to glean from 44,000 hours of study and notes to place in this Bible and have a complete study Bible for you and your children.  It is about a three year project and will entail much cost.  However, I believe it is something I must do and we are already working on the project.  There will be more information in the VOE magazine and on the web site as it develops.

End of the year Giving

                In a few weeks we will come to the end of the year.  Much of our main television air time costs come due from December to January, including INSP, TBN, and Daystar Network.  If you watch us on any of these Networks, if you can and would, send in a special end of the year offering in appreciation for the program that can be applied to the telecast for the coming year.
